I’ve been listening to a bunch of NA indigenous books this year to learn about indigenous history, but I am starting to need something else than non-fiction history / biographies. I read Firekeepers Daughter and Warrior Girl Unearthed back to back and while YA is not my normal genre, it was nice to have a more down to earth story.
I’ve been searching for similar books, but I have somethings I dislike:
– shouldn’t be in the future or too far in the past. Prefer 1990-2023.
– no magic / unnatural stuff
– no post-apocalyptic worlds
I’m searching for “normal” everyday stories about NA indigenous characters and their lives.
Open for all suggestions!
