From short stories, novellas, wildly popular classics, to more obscure titles, to say his bibliography is extensive is an understatement. I’ve only read about three of his works (Under the Dome, part of It, and the short story, “The Ledge”), so I have quite a bit of catching up to do. So what’s a good place to begin for a Stephen King novice? Recommended anthologies are welcomed too 🙂

my favorite stephen king books are “misery’ and “the stand,” though be warned that in the stand there is >!a really jarring rape scene that if you’re not expecting it will take you out of the story. !<
all of his short story and novella collections are worth reading. his longer works can meander a bit which annoys some people, but his shorter works are all tight and worthwhile to read.
Needful things! It’s long but a quick read if that makes sense?!
Carrie would be my suggestion.
