I got a little cousin (F 10) who absolutely loves to read. Her favorite genre is urban fantasy and she likes it when books have illustrations, but she’ll read about anything you put in front of her, from fantasy to scifi, from romance to horror, she even enjoys perusing encyclopedias. Her parents actually had to lock away any books not suited for children they had because if you leave it where she can find it she’ll read it, she’s voracious.
She uses a wheelchair and recently I heard her complain that none of the books she’s read so far have a protagonist like her. So I was wondering if any of you knew of a book suited for children with a protagonist on a wheelchair that I could give her.
As I said she’s 10, but she’s pretty smart for her age, so books aimed at teenagers or even young adults could work too, as long as they don’t contain anything super disturbing or explicit.
