Hi! My son is going on 12 and devours books. Among the series he loves are Ranger’s Apprentice, Hunger Games, the Scholomance series by Novik, and Keeper of the Lost Cities. But his favorites are Artemis Fowl and Brandon Sanderson’s Alcatraz series. He’s looking for new authors and I feel like Pratchett would be good to get him started on. What’s my best bet for a first book? I’ve only read Good Omens so I’m not super familiar with his works. Would love any pointers for another series/author that I’m missing here that he might love as well. Thanks!

His Tiffany Aching and Wee Free Men books are aimed at younger readers
The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents is a stand-alone kids book by Pratchett. Silly title but it’s so good.
If you’re just looking for entry points into Discworld, Going Postal would work. Or one of the Vimes books – maybe Jingo.
I started the Discworld series around that age. They’re basically all YA novels. The humors is kind of perfect for that age.
