This has probably been asked a million times, but I want a novel series that I can read inbetween classics.
I want something which has a lot of world building but needs to be a page turner.
Some examples and comments:
Game of Thrones: Best book series i have ever read.
Malazan: Love everything about this one, but the writing style has been a challenge so I haven’t gone past the first book. I don’t want a slow-read because I am keeping them for classics.
Books by Isaac Asimov: Love the series and everything about it, but I am not sure if I am a sci fi person.
Hercule Poirot: Love it. Would have fitted in perfectly as to what I am looking for, but I have already read many and now want to diversify.
Thank you for any recommendations.
