I liked Truman Capote’s “In Cold Blood” because after getting to know two of the characters pretty well through the book you got a detailed analysis of their psychology near the end (in this case, from a psychiatrist trying to determine if they were fit to stand trial). In a way it was like getting an “answer key.”Are there other novels (fiction or non-fiction) that give you someone more or less reliable and unbiased’s take on the psychological make-up of a major character or two near the end, once you’ve gotten to them?
