I’m going on a long road trip with my partner and as much as I would love to read in the car I get carsick so I’m planning to listen to some audiobooks. I’m usually not a fan of audiobooks but I’ve heard there are some books that are narrated spectacularly and sometimes improve your experience of the story but I have yet to find an audiobook that does so. Curious to know if anyone has recommendations on really good audiobooks for a reader who is somewhat skeptical.

Jerusalem by Alan Moore
The Terror by Dan Simmons
Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by whatsherface.
Anthropocene Reviewed by John Green
Born A Crime- Trevor Noah
From a person who doesn’t love audio books I highly recommend both.
Good Omens, Born a Crime
Look into autobiographical books that are narrated by the author.
Pick a person you like and enjoy!
Flowers for Algernon
[Interior Chinatown](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/53479022) by Charles Yu
Dungeon crawler carl. It’s a litrpg and the narrator Jeff Hays is absolutely amazing.
American Gods,
Just One Damn Thing After Another (first in a series)
A Darker Shade of Magic (another series starter)
Native Tongue (my partner likes any Carl Hiaasen book with the character Skink and he is not an audiobook person)
Sabriel (Garth Nix Abhorson series, Tim Curry narrates)
Sweetness at the bottom of the pie (First in a mystery series, others are good too)
Guards!Guards (any Terry Pratchett, really)
I can’t believe it’s not here yet.
Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir.
I can’t give away the plot but the nature of the book makes it almost absolutely necessary to listen to it on audio.
Daisy Jones and the Six
The Illuminae Files by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman
Sadie by Courtney Summers
