Recently my dad has been asking ignorant questions to my Jewish in-laws such as “why do people hate jews?” He’s a big reader and very much considers himself a liberal, are there any good books I can give him to help him educate himself about the history of jews & antisemitism so he can ask smarter questions and have a better dialog with my inlaws?
He’s not a bad guy, just seems really ignorant about this issue and I want to help him learn.

I don’t think that’s an ignorant question.
Also, you ever see those graphical representations of the history of earth where the show a clock… and humans arrive at a minute to midnight?
That’s also when Israel is founded, if the clock instead illustrated a history of antisemitism.
I think you could do a lot worse than the Jewish Book Council’s recommendations: https://www.jewishbookcouncil.org/books/reading-lists/antisemitism
