With Thanksgiving approaching, my college threw a “Thanksgiving” gathering type of thing. Free food, selfie booth, gratitude tree, stuffing turkeys (like build-a-bear), and personalize tote bags. It’s fun. I’ve always liked being alone. But standing in line alone and doing all these activities alone while everyone is with a friend has me on the verge of tears. I don’t have friends. I don’t really know how to make friends. The closest friend I have moved and I have no one but my bf. All this to say, i’m lonely and I need a friend. but i’d settle for a book about a lonely MC finding comfort in unexpected places. or making friends when they least expect it. or anything that has to do with being lonely.
