I’ve read Perfume by Patrick Süskind and I often recommend it, but in this case a friend of mine asked for something more specific: he’s looking for a story set in a perfume shop, or some similar place (could be a storage place, a box of perfumes being delivered by truck, a stolen perfume… as long as the perfume or the people working with them are the main focus of the book, any genre would do)
I don’t know any on top of my mind, so I’m wondering if there are books like that, maybe some romance? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

It’s not the main focus of the book, but one of the main characters in “Paladin’s Grace”/Saint of Steel book one is a perfumer and there’s a decent amount of time spent in her perfume lab and business
Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins. And it’s wonderful!
The Scentkeeper by Erica Bauermeister. A young girl grows up on an island with her father who collects and catalogues different scents in a series of unique glass bottles.
Rikki Ducornet’s *Gazelle* is a coming-of-age story set in 1950’s Cairo, and the narrator’s family befriends an Egyptian perfumer and spends some time in his perfume shop. It’s not the exclusive focus of the book, but Ducornet has lovely writing and does some very sensual descriptions of smells and enfleurage
