Suggest me a book on the early days of filmmaking (silent films, early sound films, etc.)

West of Sunset by Stewart O’Nan is pretty good fiction about Hollywood in the 30s. If you are looking for something spooky/sexy Clive Barker’s Coldheart Canyon references that time period. I Fatty by Jerry Stahl is a pretty good fictional accout of Fatty Arbuckle in early Hollywood.
