So I’m looking for romance books that have unconventional romances with a reality TV (and dating show preferably) setting. By unconventional, I mean things like the main person and a crew member or two contestants who are supposed to be vying for the same person (like if two of the contestants on the Bachelor ended up falling for each other instead of the Bachelor).
I have read The Charm Offensive and to be honest, it was a huge disappointment. That book did so little with the reality TV show aspect and instead focused heavily on how this was the first relationship ever for one of the MCs and how they were practically non-functional without their love interest as well as trying to convince the other MC that they’re not straight. It was also kind of anxiety inducing with the very vivid depictions of anxiety, especially for something that was advertised as fun fluff.
I did take a brief look at One To Watch, but from the blurb, it looks like the MC will probably fall for one of the guys on the show, and I want something unconventional.
Essentially, I want a light and fun unconventional romance set on a reality TV show.
