I collect old books, and one of my favorites is “As I Like It” by William Lyon Phelps from 1924. I found it in a used bookstore near Athens, Georgia. It’s more or less a collection of essays of Phelps complaining, or at the very least criticizing, mundane things. It’s a pretty funny book, with a lot of poignant, albeit sometimes outdated, points.
What about yall? Do you have any hidden gems in your collection you’d like to talk about?
