I just picked it up and its massive, bigger than any books Ive ever read and I’m a little intimidated by it to be honest lol. I heard it was really dense and I was thinking is there a technique to this? Someone told me that these kinds of books arent really meant to be read head on, that you kind of have to take them in sections ? Not sure let me know what you think

I had that book on my shelf for ages because I felt really daunted by it. I think everyone approaches things differently so there’ll be different schools of thought.
Personally, I can only read one book at a time ( or sometimes one fiction and non fiction). My memory is terrible so I also don’t like long gaps in between my reading sessions. For Monte Cristo, I picked an empty weekend, got stuck in, made some decent headway, then read a little each evening after work. By the end of the weekend, I was hooked and really looked forward to reading the next bit. Finished in about a month.
