I just got done with the witcher series books and I loved it so much, it got me through a period of growth and adventure in my own life and I’m looking for a series that will have strong females to inspire me to go out and achieve my goals/ overcome anything while knowing I have a fantasy world to escape into cheer on and relate to a badass female who can do more than just look pretty and do things according to her gender role. I especially loved the themes of progress, freedom and destiny. I was really sad when I finished the series, i only recently got into reading as an adult and this was the first big series I’ve read and just loved knowing i had many more books to look forward to. I’ve read good things about the elderlings books but I am looking for at least some of these specific things that got me hooked on the witcher books and not sure if it has any of them or not

    1. Jennifer Estep Crown of Shards series, starts with Kill the Queen

Patricia C. Wrede Enchanted Forest Chronicles, I still want to be Morwen (it’s older YA but holds up)

Fantasy romance and honestly silly but Shelly Laurenston/ G.A. Aiken (same author, two pen names) writes all kinds of stuff with bad ass heroines who are bad ass in all kinds of different ways

    2. The Never Night series by Kay Kristoff is pretty amazing.. kind of like the movie gladiator but with a female lead, more interesting characters and of course Lots of magic and monsters!

    3. Kristen Britain’s The Green Rider series is centered around its female main character. It’s awesome 🤩
