I LOVED IT. Just finished it, and the characters (Seren, Domingo and Ezra) got some incredible development and story setting and progression was like none other. The Ventura was expanded upon and the narration was incredible. The climax was so well-crafted, and it urges you to know more. It is one of the select few out of the hundreds of books I have read which successfully altered my heartbeat during the climax (the last one being one I read very very long ago: Kane Chronicles: The Serpent’s Shadow). This makes it one of the best books I ever read, and its first of a series of three (The Ventura Saga). I am no romance reader but I selected this as a random read from the city library as it had no proper description, and boy was I really REALLY impressed!!!!!! I suggest this to all people who read books, fantasy, romance or any other kind, this book encompasses it all.
