So I move into a new flat and want to take this chance to sort out the books in my possession.
What books do you keep or are in your experience worth keeping?
For example:
Some classics that I most probably won’t read anytime soon.(Lord of the rings, Stephen King)
Books I’ve read and enjoyed but won’t read a second time.
Books I really want to read some day.
Books I really want to read some day, but realistically, I will not.
High literature, I’ve already read, I’ve not read or i won’t read.

I had faced the same problem once. I keep all the books which were part of me.
Memories of a time of my life.
Emotions that changed me.
Style/plot I really enjoy.
I had this same dilemma when I moved several times after college and downsized my collection with what I thought I’d never read again. Now that I own a house and don’t have space constraints I regret giving many of those books away. Tastes change over time. Now that I am an expectant father my perspective has also changed, and I would rather have more books on the shelf for my daughter to peruse as she grows up.
I guess I don’t really have good advice for you other than to evaluate your collection through a broader more timeless lense.
