Hey y’all! I know, odd ask but as a broke college student who relies on a Kindle, I have zero dollars to actually buy a book from the Amazon store, or any book for that matter. Do y’all have any recommendations of fantasy books that I could find relatively easily online? My last two reads were the Dresden Files and the Gentleman’s Bastard series, friggen loved them.

Talk to your local library to see if they have the Libby app for ebook borrowing. It works with Kindle and is free.
Can’t you get books from a library?
You won’t get any advice on how to pirate books here, but there are (very few) books released under a free license. *Warbreaker* by Brandon Sanderson is under a Creative Commons license.
Your best bet for legal free books are books in the public domain (search Reddit, you’ll find a lot of threads asking for this). If you are open to science fiction as well, you will have more options, since fantasy as we know it today is a young genre and there aren’t many books in the public domain yet.
For newer literature – as others have said –: if you live anywhere near a library, a library card and the Libby app will get you far for very little money or even for free, depending on where you live.
Use Libby/Overdrive. You can even get your library card online if you don’t want to physically go into a library. I’ve read over 350 books in the last few years and not a single one I “paid for” because of this app. Biggest downside is sometimes you have to wait for the popular titles.
