I like to read a novel which its main plot is about someone – preferebly adult – who is living on their own and the challenges it involves for them. Things like renting a house, cooking for yourself, going to work, and other normal daily activities that an adult person face. I like to read about someone else’s life without anythhing big happeneing to them. I like slow drama as well so it’s okay if the storyline doesn’t involve anything big, but I rather the point of the story being around the life of this individual.
Something that comes close to my mind on this subject is “Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine” but it still was far from what I’m asking here.
Thank you for your time in advance.

There is an excellent graphic novel called Ducks by Kate Beaton I’m reading right now. It’s about a young woman from east Canada moving to the famous oil sands of Alberta with no relevant skills and being the only woman. It’s one of my top books of the year! Trigger warning for sexual harassment though
Anne Tyler’s Ladder of Years came to mind when I read your post.
