I’m looking for a book for my 14 year old nephew for Christmas.
As a side note, he’s not really into reading, so this is going to be a complementary gift.
He’s not really into history either. What he’s passionate about is military strategy, tactics, operations. The weapons, the technological advancements in warfare.
The reason why I’m asking here is that I did find a few books that could pique his interest, but I’m afraid he would be overwhelmed by the prose and the vocabulary and stop reading altogether, so I need a book that is accessible to a 14 year old.

It’s not a light read, but On War by Clausewitz is a standard. You also can’t go wrong with Sun Tzu as his writings are very concise.
