I have recently begun holding an interest in history and one of the areas I would love to read about right now is around 19th century Europe. I have already done some research into various titles, but there are seemingly too many to go through and would hope that there can be some help here as to which titles would actually be worthwhile to read.

    1. *The Christian Watt Papers: Memoirs of a Fraserburgh Fishwife* by Christian Watt (ed. David Fraser). An incredibly rare memoir from a working-class fisherwoman in Victorian Scotland. She was committed to an asylum after losing most of her family to drowning and spent the second half of her life there, which is why she had the time to write a memoir. She does NOT hold back in her political opinions about Victorian politics!
