Foucault’s Pendulum by Umberto Eco is full of occult conspiracy.

*Flicker* by Theodore Roszak. Not deathless literature and a long time since I read it but I found it absorbing. However unelevated it might be I thought it much better than the Stephen King novels I’d read and for that matter better than Auster’s Book of Illusions, which is also about a person who vanished from Hollywood long since.
