Suggest me a book that makes you feel cozy and warm in a whimsical way similar to Harry Potter, or a Roald Dahl book.
I enjoy books that are able to develop a world where you can really imagine what the day to day life is like, like a fantasy adventure book! I just want the immersion of a magical/ fantasy land.
The Neverending Story specifically is amazing. It’s worth noting that the movie from the 80’s is actually only the first half of the book. There is a whole other adventure that starts when the movie ends. Highly recommended.

Lockwood and Co by Stroud. It’s a ghost story and not magical but it’s incredibly atmospheric and the characters feel like old friends who love, annoy, and taunt each other. I adore Harry Potter because I could imagine the world and wanted to explore it more. This is set in London after ghosts begin appearing and just a touch can kill. Only kids and teens can actually see them so armed with rapiers and salt they have to tramp over to whichever street or home a ghost has appeared and destroy it. It’s funny. There’s a darling romance. And of course now there’s a show!! The show got me into the books. Both worth following

The face in the frost by John Bellairs. Had the same tone as Harry Potter, very whimsical, dry wit and humor, and is fantasy adventure with a plot revolving around Merlin-esque wizards.
