I absolutely loved this novel and also loved The Glass House and Station Eleven (to a lesser extent). Since I read Sea of Tranquility, I’ve been craving another story like that but can’t seem to find it. I like sci-fi, but not a ton of hard sci-fi if that makes sense. I just finished The Comet Cycle series by Benjamin Percy and really liked it, but it can’t hold a candle to a St. John Mandel’s work in my opinion. I’ve also been reading a lot about climate change recently and admittedly it’s a bit depressing, so I’d love a couple good novels to dive into around the holidays. Would welcome any and all suggestions!

    1. I loved Sea of Tranquility as well. I also liked Eternal Life by Horn. The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by Schwab. The Midnight Circus by Morgenstern. Ocean at the End of the Lane by Gaiman.

    2. The Last Migration by Charlotte McConaghy (or it’s just called Migrations in some countries I think). Emily St. John Mandel actually blurbed it so that’s a good sign. But the style genuinely reminded me of her writing and when you said climate change it seemed like the perfect fit.

    3. Possibly, A Memory Called Empire. But also interestingly The Martian Chronicles. It’s hard to know though. What aspect of Sea of Tranquility did you enjoy the most that has you seeking other books like it? BTW I’m reading Station Eleven right now.

    4. I loved sea of tranquility so much! I loved Light from Other Stars by Erika Swyler. It has some similarities like moving back and forth through time and that there isn’t a fixed timeline, and it has multiple narratives that weave together.
