Earlier this year I had been after a good, gritty series to sink into. I rented Cuckoo’s Calling and ended up enjoying the writing and characters and, fast forward several months, that I now have Troubled Blood which I’m making my way through during the small bursts of free time I have. Thoroughly enjoying it.
Can’t quite pinpoint exactly what makes these books tick for me, but just enjoying the process.
Anyone else enjoy this series? I have started the tv adaptation too.

Lethal White was the worst book I ever read. From what I hear they only got worse.
I love how realistically the characters are written, with their pains and bad decisions. Even the small side characters get fleshed out and don’t feel like cardboard. So far I’ve only finished the first 4 books, but I plan to eventually read them all.
Love this series! The audiobooks are all really well done. So jealous of your reading Troubled Blood for the first time, it’s one of my all time favorite books.
I love this series! Robin is one of my favorite female characters.
I didn’t care for Silk Worm but I really liked the other books in the series!
I loved the series and found that consecutive books are getting better. However, I abandoned the last one after just a few pages, cant even tell why, i was just not in the mood for it somehow.
