My niece and nephew are mixed, and I would love to get my nephew a book for Christmas. Can anyone (particularly readers within the black community) suggest books for a teen boy? I found a book for my niece last year called “badass black girl” filled with quotes, questions and affirmations but struggled to find anything for my nephew so I would love to find something this year.
Of course I get that it doesn’t have to surround his color, but I would like something to celebrate his skin, advice for coping with hardships, or any books that would have made a difference in your life when you were a teen?
Thank you!

(I’m white, so feel free to ignore this). Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman is YA fiction set in a world where black people have the money and power and white people are poor and without influence. There’s obviously more to it than that! It’s a series, so if he likes it there are lots more to read
