Although I love my cheesy, predictable YA plots, especially dystopian/utopian and high fantasy, I need suggestions for books with similar plots and structures, except the protagonist is the villain. Maybe not even completely the villain, but maybe just makes bad/wrong/selfish decisions sometimes.
I liked catcher in the rye, breakfast at tiffanies, and the perks of being a wallflower for those reasons (flawed protagonists, unreliable narrator, make bad choices at least sometimes)
But I need something like those books, but with magic and fairies and plagues and authoritarian governments, ya know? Like those cheesy YA mindless trilogies, but with just the tiniest more depth with the protagonist. Thank you in advance!

Have you tried the Simon Snow series from Rainbow Rowell?
Think flawed Harry Potter like character, with a super dark and flawed Dumbledore and a much more broody Draco.
Artemis Fowl is fairly evil.
Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (Hunger Games Prequel) is all POV from a villain.
How about [these?](https://lawrence.bibliocommons.com/list/share/1019480557/1288719107)
