I’m just going to list some things that I think would be cool but feel free to recommend something that doesn’t check all these boxes 😅
1. The main character is not special. She’s not the chosen one, doesn’t have some rare power, isn’t the best fighter, the most talented musician, the smartest. She’s just… average.
2. The best friend/ sibling/ anyone else is actually the special one but MC isn’t jealous
3. MC doesn’t end up with the hottest most powerful guy around. They’re not fated together or bonded or soulmates
4. Fantasy with some romance is possible
I’ve just read Fourth Wing and am so frustrated with the entire thing. Violet is the epitome of “I”m fragile and smol but also special and smart and everything comes to me very easily and everyone loves me.”
So basically just the opposite of this please 😩
