Bloodlands by Timothy Snyder
talks about the atrocities of both Soviet and Nazi regimes in Eastern Europe, and each of them made the crimes of the other side worse. Technically it does seem to be over 500 pages, but 100 of them seem to be bibliography and references.

Das Reich by Max Hastings.
It relates the atrocities committed by the ‘Das Reich’ SS Panzerdivision during their march through France in the summer of 1944.
A powerful and readable book.

The Malmedy Massacre by John Bauseman.
A good description of the infamous shooting of US prisoners by the SS of Jochen Peiper during the Battle of the Bulge

Maybe Philippe Sands: East West Street – it’s mostly about the prosecuting lawyers but it’s a wonderful book and I strongly recommend it.
