Hi! I’ve been in the mood for eerie books that haunt you. The Southern Reach trilogy by Jeff VanderMeer is one of my favs, and I just finished Our Wives Under the Sea. I love cosmic horror books with growing sensations of dread, but it’s hard to know where to start looking!

I really like Algernon Blackwood’s novella [The Willows](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1335601.The_Willows), which is a very atmospheric work of early cosmic horror. It’s [available on Project Gutenberg](https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/11438).
The Fisherman by John Langan : love, loss, longing and cosmic horror in an intricate package.
The Ruins by Scott Smith
