Series of books by Faith Martin set in the early 60s about a female police officer. Quite good murder mysteries, set in Oxford. “A Fatal Secret”; “A Fatal Obsession”, etc.

It’s a bit earlier than your time period but Hang the Moon was a nice read.

The Grand Sophy by Georgette Heyer was published in 1950 but it’s Regency-set historical romance. The title character, Sophy is very much a force to be reckoned with though.
Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O’Dell is a 1960 novel about a young woman who is stranded alone on an island for years.
Viviana Valentine Gets Her Man by Emily J. Edwards is a historical detective novel set in 1950 with a plucky secretary who solves the mysterious disappearance of her PI boss.
Searching for Grace Kelly by Michael Callahan is a historical fiction novel set in the 1950s at the Barbizon Hotel in NYC and is about three young women and their lives.
