I know little to nothing about WW2, but I have a little story idea I want to write based in that era, so I’m thinking I need to figure out what I’ll be talking about! I’m looking for a non-fiction book that covers the essentials of WW2, mostly from an American perspective. One that covers the overall timeline, military hierarchy of the time, how battlefields worked and how bases of operation were established in the field, the specific fronts and battles involved, the weapons in use, all that kind of nitty-gritty stuff. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you!
