For example Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata, where you learn what being a convenience store employee is like, or Severance by Ling Ma, which takes you behind the scenes of the book publishing industry to an extent.
Thanks in advance

Yellowface by R.F. Kuang! It shows the writing/publishing industry.
Snuff, by Chuck Palahniuk will teach you about the porn industry.
It’s been 23 years since it came out, which is when I read it, but I recall *The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay* by Chabon getting pretty in depth with the 1940s era comic book industry.
*Deep River* by Karl Marlantes is a massive family saga about the early 1900s era logging industry in the WA/OR/Columbia River region. Also gets into some of the fishing industry as well. All throughout is the early history of workers organizing to protect themselves. Epic novel.
