I was watching the Breeders Cup this weekend and now I’m interested in horse racing. Anything good? Preferably non-fiction.
I know it’s an awful sport. What they do to the horses is cruel. But there is so much history and glamor, I’m very curious. I bet there’s some scandles too. Seems like a great way to lose a lot of money.
Thanks.

Seabiscuit – Laura Hildebrand
The Sure Thing – Nick Townsend, is more about betting perhaps than racing but it is a good story.
Dick Francis has a whole series of fiction books based around the racing industry. I consider them oldies but goodies. Obviously anything written forty + years ago will have yikes moments so bear that in mind. I might start with the first of the Sid Halley books. Add’s Against.
