My husband and I are going on a cruise soon, and he told me he would read one book of my choosing during the cruise. Both he and I used to be avid readers, but he stopped in High School, and I did in college. I’ve started picking up more books lately, like Agatha Christie and Gothic classics, which are my personal interests. I want to choose something I have read, that I think he will enjoy, and we can discuss together. I love dramatic books and murder mysteries, and my husband remembers really loving The Shamer’s Daughter. I’m thinking of suggesting The Importance of Being Earnest, which is one of my favorites. I don’t think my husband would enjoy anything too symbolic or dramatic like Shakespeare. Any suggestions? I can reply to comments if I have read the book in question or not.
