Books for a M21 year old going through a breakup/getting life more together.
Going through a breakup and at the point where I thought my life was going one way but now that it’s changed I’m kind a blank slate. I would love some suggestions that helped you guys when going through change.
I think it’s a good book for young men to read. Phillips concerns and anxieties have not been lost in the last hundred years. As he goes through his adolescence and early adulthood, you’ll meet a bunch of people who you want to be more like, be less like or keep an eye out for. It’s not particularly exciting, but it’s a very well written book.
Once you get your mind around how we’re wired over sex and commitment, you see monogamy as one of many constructs with a purpose, can figure out how much you want to engage with it instead of feeling like its just a default necessity, and from there really reduce the impact it has on you when a monogamous relationship ends (and see what was probably just dependency)
