    I found myself obsessed with murder mysteries recently, possibly to an unhealthy extent. What I love the most, however, is when the murder seems to have been committed in completely impossible circumstances, but is revealed to have a rational explanation, per the title. I have some books in mind, but I’d like some input from people who read way more than I do.

      You should look into Japanese locked-room mysteries (honkaku). **The Tokyo Zodiac Murders** by Soji Shimada is good one to start off with.
