it’s hard to describe my reading taste, but I do like fantasy (esp. high fantasy and/or non-Western settings) historical fiction, and horror.

absolutely no romance, unless it’s queer and really well-written. if you have a horror rec, please note that I’m just getting into horror 🙂

    **here’s a list of books I like:**

anything by L.M. Montgomery, especially *Emily of New Moon* and *The Blue Castle*

    *Gideon the Ninth*

    *The Keeping Days*

    *Hell Followed With Us*

    *Six of Crows*

    *A Memory Called Empire*

    *Unraveller*

    *The Raven Boys*

    *The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi*

    *The Fifth Season*

    TLDR

I like fantasy, historical fiction, non-Western settings, horror, and gay, especially when they’re all mixed up together. no romance. I read a mix of YA and adult.

    1. If you’re captivated by the idea of magical schools and coming-of-age stories, ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone’ by J.K. Rowling is a must-read. It’s the beginning of a journey that has enchanted readers worldwide, filled with enchantment, friendship, and the timeless battle against darkness.

    2. ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’ by C.S. Lewis, starting with ‘The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe,’ is a series I suggest for its classic good versus evil narrative set in the magical land of Narnia. It’s a series that delights with talking animals, noble quests, and allegorical depth.
