I m not a regular reader, just trying to get hooked on English literature. I want to read a book in which girl and a boy love, support and help eachother and stay together through story setting(adventure) Setting can be futuristic or fantasy. Romance shouldn’t be too vulgar. Can have superpowers or stuff like that. Book also should be standalone and not too long.(Sorry for long list of DEMANDS)
Edit 1: Already tried A Court of Thorn and Roses series, read first two novels and got bored due to predictable storyline and somewhat damsel and distress type female lead.

Empire of Sand and Realm of Ash. First book is about the older sister and second book is about the younger sister.
