    hey y’all I’m looking to get back into reading! I was an avid reader in middle school, until 13 reasons why came out 🙁 but now I’m back and ready to read!

    What’s popular rn?? I love horror, city life, flawed leads, sapphics, and weed. If anyone has any specific recommendations I’d love to hear them!

    1. Confessions by Kanae Minato, the book is just 146 pages but what a true page turner, chapters are long 22 pages each with 6 chapters.. but when I ended the first chapter I couldn’t stop at second..
      Very creative writing, never read before plot.. true masterpiece..

      Currently reading Gravity’s Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon but that is a very specific book for a very specific kind of person so I can’t recommend it to a stranger in good conscience.

      However, I read Enter the Aardvark by Jessica Anthony the other day and that one I would recommend to pretty much anyone. Hilarious book and you can finish it in an afternoon easily.

    3. Here’s some recent books I have read that you may like.

      Horror

      * Leech by Hiron Ennes

      * The Luminous Dead by Caitlin Starling (currently reading this)

      * Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia (currently reading this)

      City life, sapphic:

      * We Are Satellites by Sarah Pinsker

      * The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

      * Our Wives Under the Sea by Julia Armfield

      * The City in the Middle of the Night by Charlie Jane Anders

    4. Idk if I’d recommend them but I got a really strong urge to read the novelizations of the newest Halloween trilogy for some reason so I’ve been working my way through those.
