    Hi all,

I (M22) used to really enjoy reading, particularly in the early years of secondary school (probably from about 11-14 years old)

Unfortunately I stopped reading, and now, 22 years old, I’d like to try and get back into it. Problem is, I have NO idea where to start. I’m hoping someone might be able to suggest things, based on what I used to read? I generally used to pick things from the Young Adult section, some series’ I know I enjoyed are below. Does anyone know of anything similar, but not in the YA genre? I LOVED the ones below.

    The Hunger Games
    Maze Runner
    Gone (Series by Michael Grant)
The Enemy (Series by Charlie Higson)

(From my research so far, I’ve found the below books might be of interest, does anyone agree?)

    Five Survive by Holly Jackson
The Running Man by Stephen King

Thank you to anyone that helps at all!

Andy Weir’s books, particularly *Project Hail Mary,* have some really good, edge-of-your-seat vibes that can capture a lot of the YA action feel, as does most stuff by Peter Clines — especially the *Ex-Heroes* series and *14*. All of those are fun, pretty quick reads, which can make them good fits for getting back in the swing of it.

You might also like *To Your Scattered Bodies Go* or *Rendezvous with Rama.*
