Looking for a book that has non-stop action. Lots of gore. Could be either horror or action or both.
What I’m hoping to find is something along the lines of Sam Raimi’s films. Where the violent scenes keep going and going and going – way past the point when other authors would’ve ended.
To the point that the violence almost becomes darkly funny.
Bonus points if it had a ton of sharp plot twists.
I’ve read all the usual suspects – Palahniuk, Elmore Leonard, Hiassen, Tim Dorsey, David Wong, Charles Willeford, King, etc.
Need some deep cuts. No fantasy please. TY!

Exquisite Corpse by Poppy Z Brite isn’t action per se but it has some well written gore if u can look past Luke ranting for like half the book
