Hello, I just finished the Three Musketeers by Dumas and loved it! I was thrilled when I found out it was a series but I’m a bit confused on what to read next. I’ve seen The Red Sphinx listed, but some have said it is not really part of the series and to skip it and read Twenty Years After. Can someone please shed some light on this? Thxs!

Dumas wrote 3 novels in this series: “The Three Musketeers”, “Twenty Years After” and “The Vicomte of Bragelonne”.
They are long novels, and in some translations, they are divided into 3 or 4 parts.
I think that “The Red Sphinx” is a rather late novel, not as good as the other three. It’s more about the Cardinal de Richelieu than D’Artagnan.
I agree that you should read “Twenty Years After”.
