What made this book different from other non-fiction books is that he depicted his experience of surviving and hunting in the wilds of Alaska’s Arctic for 1 month. It was enjoyable to read. **I don’t recommend this book to Vegans and Vegetarians.**

What I decided to implement in my life →

    * Get two hours of quiet time in the afternoon when I’m reading a book—no lo-fi music.

    > Two hours of the type of quiet we can find at home (perhaps with earplugs in or noise-canceling headphones on, if you live in a city) was shown to lead to the production of more cells in an area of the brain that fights depression.

    * Explore calorie-negative actions to deal with stress—shadow-boxing, meditation, stretching, stress balls (if you come up with any idea, let me know in the comment).

    >”People who are at a consistently healthy weight don’t have better genetics or a higher metabolism, and they don’t magically burn more calories,” he said. “They’re just morelikely to deal with stress by, like, going for a walk instead of eating. That’s really the difference.”

    * Stop pursuing the checklist phenomenon; you have a checklist like getting a promotion and buying a car and once you check off the list, you aren’t as happy as you imagine and create a new checklist.

    >The checklist phenomenon is ultimately driven by our search to “finally relax and enjoy in the present.” —Sam Harris

    * Realize death is imminent and think about it in the morning, afternoon, and evening.

    >Whereas those who have thought of their death and prepared for it,” said the lama, “they do not have those regrets. Because they have often not fallen so much into those delusions. They have lived in the moment. Maybe they have accomplished a lot, maybe they have not. But regardless it has not affected their happiness as much….”

Thanks for reading, book lovers! See you soon!
