I’m autistic and haven’t really read much for enjoyment in a long time. I’ve tried to get back into it, but i have a hard time finishing any books. I really want to, since I used to read a lot when I was a kid and still enjoy pretty much everything else (movies, games, comics)
So what I’m asking is that if there’s any book that could possibly get me into reading again. I usually like fantastical or adventurous stuff most, but I’m open to anything

    1. I don’t know if this will help but “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” is told from the perspective of an autistic person. But it’s really a good read and interesting.

Adventure … “Into Thin Air” by Krakauer. It’s a classic. “House of Rain” by Childs. Adventure and anthropology.

Good luck! Getting back into reading can be challenge.

    2. Are you into queer stories? Silver in the Wood by Emily Tesh is a very short, folklore-feeling novella that’s very readable and easy to get through in just a few sittings (112 pages in total).

You could also try a really high quality YA or middle grade adventure book to help get back into the habit of reading, like Bridge to Terabithia.

You could try going back and reading books you enjoyed when you were younger. That’s what got me back into reading.
