Hi all! I’ve been on a sci-fi binge lately and am trying to get back into romance instead. I’m looking for something where the male love interest is older, and where the age gap is actually addressed at some point or is at least a concern of one/both of the main characters. I’m not super keen on ‘modern’ settings in romances so I’d prefer not to have anything set in the last century (sci-fi future is fine though!) but other than that I’m open to any other genre. Historical/Fantasy/Sci-fi/Whatever is all good.
I’d rather have more plot over smut, but I’m not bothered if there’s both!
For extra context, this new obsession started after playing a game where the main FC meets an older ex-soldier who’s already been through a lot, while she’s just getting into adventuring and life in general. So bonus points for some angst, especially if there’s a happy ending.
I’ve read the ‘classics’ (Jane Eyre etc) so looking for something a bit less well-known.
