Hello,
I want to get my older sister a book she’ll like for Christmas. She’s notoriously hard to get gifts for so I would appreciate any help! She works in nature preservation and is very into eco-friendly stuff. She’s super smart and read Les Mis and the whole Lord of the Rings series when she was like 13 so she can handle really meaty books but I’m not a big reader so I’m a bit lost. Does anyone have any recommendations for books she might like? I think she’d like fiction or non-fiction. Thanks in advance!

I highly recommend Plant Spirit Medicine by Eliot Cowan. It’s a wonderful book about expanding relationships with the earth.

Pilgrim at Tinker Creek by Annie Dillard is very good. The author reflects on a year spent living in nature with a lot of fascinating digressions into the science of what she encounters and deep philosophical questions.
