I ordered a used book from a vendor in Amazon, advertised to be in “like new” condition. It is a single order consisting of 3 volumes of a book. There is a dust jacket/band/cover that “wraps” around all three books and it is ripped.
The actual books are indeed in “like new” condition, so I have no complaints there. But I’m dissatisfied that the dust cover came ripped. Am I being too picky here? I don’t buy a lot of used books online, so I’m unsure. I’d like to hear your thoughts.

I am not a dust cover fan so it wouldn’t bother me.
You may be a little picky. If you’re unhappy, return.
If the dust cover is torn, it is not “like new”.
I wouldn’t buy a car “like new” if the hood was damaged.
It wouldn’t bother me enough to take any action on it, although I agree it doesn’t really sounds like it’s “like new.” My mother is an Amazon bookseller and I know she would never consider listing it that way either!
That’s not even “very good”
From Amazon, I would see about a refund or replacement but from somewhere like thriftbooks that’s kinda to be expected
