Need help to find a book(s) a teacher used to read to us back in school.
They were short stories that had people giving accounts of what happened in a crime but there was always one subtle detail that revealed their story to be false – ie 1.) a character said that a dog came running to save them as they waved a red flag 🚩 but you had to know that dogs are colourblind to know what they said was untrue 2.) a person claimed to have been shipwrecked for days but when they were offered water to drink, they gulped it down in one go (if they had not drunk for days, they would have to sip hence their story is false).
Those are the only two examples I can remember – does this sound familiar to anybody?
