I just finished Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood and it blew my mind. Easily one of my favorite experiences with a book in a very long time, and I fully believe I will come to consider it one of my all time favorites after the dust settles and I am able to process it fully. I am looking for something that will scratch a similar itch. Something feminist- though it doesn’t have to be explicitly so, thematically will do as well. It does not *have* to be historical fiction but it would be preferable. And most of all, it has to be dark. I would prefer suggestions for books written by women. Thank you in advance!
